DISHWASHER PROBLEMS

CONSTANT/LOUD NOISES

We have lots of experience troubleshooting and fixing dishwasher problems that result in loud noises. The reason for the noise can be a broken washer arm bearing, pump housing, or motor bushing. These are common problems that we see and fix all of the time. Call us to fix your “loud noise” today.

LEAKING WATER

Dishwashers leak water for two reasons. The first is that there is a problem with the door closure or latch and the parts will need replacement. The other issue is a failed water inlet valve which we can repair promptly when we come to your home. We carry the necessary parts to fix this issue for Whirlpool, GE, Kenmore and all major brands of dishwashers.

WON’T TURN ON

The first thing to do if a dishwasher won’t turn on is to make sure it is plugged in and that that the circuit breakers in the kitchen are not tripped. Then, call us. The problem is typically related to the thermal fuses, electronic controls, door latch switches, or motor relays. These are easy fixes that we can do the same day you call for help.

WON’T DRAIN/FILL

If you have a broken float switch or door switch, or a broken water inlet valve your dishwasher will not fill. And it will not drain if it has a broken drain hose or drain pump motor. If your dishwasher does not fill or drain properly call us for prompt same-day service and fix the issue with a single service call.

WON’T CLEAN DISHES

A dishwasher is pretty useless if your dishes are not clean after the cycle. You will have dirty dishes after the washing cycle if you have a broken water tube, housing gasket, or filter or spray arm. At Longmont Appliance Repair we carry manufacturer parts in our service vans to repair each of these very common dishwasher problems on the spot.

WON’T DRY DISHES

Dishwashers are supposed to both wash and dry the dishes. Hand drying your dishes after a washing cycle defeats the purpose of the appliance. Your dishwasher won’t dry when there is a broken rinse aid dispenser, heating element, or thermostat. We easily repair or replace any and all parts necessary for drying the dishes on all dishwasher models.

WON’T DISPENSE DETERGENT

Your dishwasher needs to be able to dispense detergent or soap in order to wash the dishes. When this does not happen the problem is with the wax motor, timer, or bi-metal release. Call us for a same-day repair of this irritating problem.
